Name The Puppy Bed Contest
We are holding a contest naming the amazing pet beds that my daughter helps to sew to help dogs in need. We have only sewed 2 of these (one is half done).

Fleece lined puppy bed.

Our 7 year old sewing the puppy bed fabric.
Pick a name for these beds. The person who submits the name first receives credit. Duplicates will be chosen based on time of Rafflecopter entry. My 7 year old will choose the winning name. Open February 19, 2013, 12AM through March 1, 2013 12AM. Prize $10 Paypal or Amazon credit. Open to the US and 18 or over. If you’re outside the US but have a great name, feel free to leave it in the comments section.
More info: These beds are given away completely FREE – we do not charge for materials, shipping, or our time. They are given directly to rescues to help the puppies. We have NO intention of starting any business or applying for charity status. We make NO commercial gains on these beds. The 7 year old is learning to sew and wanted to help dogs in need, so that is why we started sewing. We are not rich, but love our daughter’s kind spirit and desire to help others. These cost about $20-$30 after supplies and shipping are taken into account.
Rafflecopter does have a free option for bloggers to allow you to enter more than one suggestion that I’m aware of, so I set it to offer you the option to enter a new name once each day.
Also, we are happy to make your contest prize a donation to a rescue in need, if you wish.
*Hateful comments will not be posted. Hateful entries will be deleted, at my discretion, per the contest rules. This is a 7 year old trying to do a good deed. Be nice.
Disclaimer – I have absolutely NO affiliation with Cynthia’s Puppy Pockets. This is an entirely charitable enterprise. These dog beds are FREE – we provide the labor, materials, and shipping at no cost (and we are not rich by any means).

Yvette Buhler Rice’s suggestions: Huggy Bags? Loving Bags? Cuddly Holes?
So I don’t forget to mention them to Annabelle.

I think since your project involves dachshunds, how about “weenie wraps”
Another name idea from the FB thread.
Canine cuddle caves- or just cuddle caves
And I don’t need the $10 if I “win” please us it to buy more fabric or some dog toys to donate
You are so generous thanks. My kids are still having trouble coming up with a name. They associate the puppy beds with that particular name, unfortunately. Oh well, reinforcement and making it their own will change that quickly.

What a great idea and wonderful cause. What you should do is put these on the internet and have people make donations for the materials so that they can too feel like they helped. I adopted my bunny at a shelter, so shelters are dear to me as well. You have a big heart, kiddo.

Thank you. She is a very sweet little girl. I would love to be able to do that, however I think that most would prefer that we are a registered non-profit, which is a lot of effort on my part for a slow-sewing 7 year old! If people wanted to send a Jo-Ann’s gift card to her, I would be happy to email them pictures of Annabelle picking out the fabric for the beds as well as the finished product.
Again, thank you for your kind words,
Elizabeth
Doggie Snuggie – if I win, please keep the $10 to purchase more fabric for the beds. Has she thought about electric blankets? You might be able to pick up an electric blanket at a garage sale and sew that into a quilted pet bed.
