Upcoming 2013 Georgia Homeschooling Conferences
Conferences are a great place to meet other homeschooling families and to get some new ideas on curricula, activities, and general management of the children’s education.
Many of these are open for registration now, and some of the larger conferences offer a discount for advanced registration. A great money saving feature of attending a homeschooling conference is that many feature a used curriculum sale. Curriculum retailers and independent homeschool stores can also be found at homeschooling conferences, providing the opportunity to review a curriculum in depth prior to purchase, rather than being limited to the few pages that are featured on Amazon or some of the curriculum retailers website. The other benefit of the retailers being there is that you may be able to discuss your family’s curriculum needs and have their help in navigating the many available options. There are various seminars offered, including but not limited to choosing topics such as: curriculum, common pitfalls in teaching, and managing family life while homeschooling. Lastly, most of the Georgia homeschooling conferences have provided tracks for kids and teens, including entertainment for them, but not childcare for the younger children (although this may vary).
Below is a listing of the current Georgia homeschooling conferences that I am aware of at the time of publishing. If your conference is not listed, please let me know.

Disclaimer: While I have done my best to provide information about the conferences in the state of Georgia, this may not be a complete list. I do not vouch for the philosophy, content, or speakers at any of these conferences. Please research these conferences, speakers, and event sponsors to determine if they are a good fit for your family.

This is so cool that you can attend the conferences. Sharing now.
It is good that homeschooling is widely accepted in the US. I am teaching in an international homeschool. There are a lot of people here who are close minded about homeschooling.
Wow, there are tons of homeschooling conferences in Georgia! My friend from Georgia also homeschools and said it is very popular in her area of Georgia. It is great that you have a lot of support for homeschooling!

I need to add these to my calendar to get a look at different programs. We are considering leaving the virtual school due to all the standardized testing they require.
