Week 3
I won’t tell you that it has not been a struggle. I am using MyFitnessPal to keep a food journal and record the low impact exercise that I am doing. If I were physically able to do high impact exercise, I would, but unfortunately I can’t. I find this very frustrating as one of my fitness goals is to improve my muscle tone. I am in it for the long haul, so I am hopeful that my overall health improves to the point where I am able to do weight lifting and higher impact exercise. If you’re on MyFitnessPal, my username is WaterRollsUphill (surprise).
Regarding: Calorie counting. My Fitness Pal set my caloric intake at 1260 calories a day. I was miserable at this level and had hunger pangs. I have chosen to instead using My Fitness Pal as a food diary and to keep my portion sizes in check. I have found that I am averaging 1500-1700 calories a day and am within the healthy weight loss range of about 2 pounds per week. I am drinking a lot of water and have cut my Diet Coke intake way down, of which I am fairly proud.
So far, I am down 5.4 pounds total. I have 14.6 pounds left to my original goal of 145, which is the weight at which I feel my body functions well.
